If you would like to travel from Moscow to Ulaanbaatar on the infamous Trans Siberian train, you can arrange it using our partner company who have offices in London and Moscow.

Crossing five time zones and taking five whole days, this amazing journey from west to east is a once in a lifetime experience. The train passes through the great cities of Perm, Ekatarinberg, and Irkutsk, beyond which you travel along the shores of the great Lake Baikal, then cross the border into Mongolia. Along the way the train stops occasionally, enabling you to get out onto the platform and see what the local folk are selling. Your travelling companions might be traders themselves, taking goods to Mongolia or China, enhancing an already colourful journey !

Trans Siberian Train Journey Route

After the thrilling 6300km journey, taking 106 hours, the train arrives in Ulaanbaatar at 7:30 on the morning of the sixth day. There are three trains each week, so it is usually possible to get a train which arrives at the right time for the start of your tour in Mongolia.
